Hello Kitty: Latest Top Model On Japan Vogue June 2008 Issue

Do you know that your favorite cat character, Hello Kitty, is the latest top model to make her debut in Vogue Japan?

According to Yahoo News, Hello Kitty is set for a designer makeover in the June issue of Japanese Vogue, which will hit the newsstands on April 26 (that's 3 days to go). She will be modelling the latest autumn and winter creations of Dior's John Galliano.

Here's the official statement from Conde Nast Japan (publisher of Vogue Nippon)

"Of course this is the first time the historic fashion house of Dior has had a cartoon character model their entire collection. Japanese animation and characters have been a strong influence on the fashion world in the last few seasons, but Kitty is special. Fashion people all know her name and face and always say they love her. That's why we at Vogue wanted to do something involving her."

Allure Magazine May 2008: The Naked Issue

Angie Harmon, Gabrielle Union, Jill Scott, Zoe McLellan and Ana Ortiz will appear naked in the May issue of Allure Magazine.

During an interview Angie said that the photo shoot isn't about selling sex. "It's about showing the female body in a positive, beautiful way." She also shared some of her feelings during the photo shoot. "The hardest part was when the robe came off and I was like, And now I'm… naked. You wonder if they can see your Cesarean scar."

Meanwhile, Jill hopes that the pictorial will inspire other women. "Here I am, naked in a magazine at size 16... We are all beautiful, each and every one of us."

Among the five, Zoe was the least troubled during the pictorial. She said, "I've always been a performer".

Petra Nemcova @ Diamonds Empowerment Fund’s Celebrity Photo Shoot

Petra Nemcova proves that beauty is not just skin-deep. The Czech supermodel has a big heart for the less fortunate people. Last week, Petra got involved with the Diamonds Empowerment Fund’s celebrity photo shoot for their Diamonds Give auction.

"The Mission of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) is to raise money for the development and empowerment of the people and communities in Africa where diamonds are a natural resource." ~Simmons Jewelry

Being sexy in a purple ruffled shirt, purple hat and a pair of vintage jeans she posed with the DEF's green bracelet.

Aside from helping out the Diamonds Empowerment fund, Petra also participates in Somaly Mam Foundation (just like Bar Refaeli) in an effort to raise awareness about the sex slave trade and human trafficking in Asia.

What Happens When G.I. Joe's Scarlett Change Her Costume?

G.I. Joe fanatics, you should check this out. A new photo courtesy of JoBlo. It features Rachel Nichols (Alias, P2) as Scarlett. This is the second official character photo from the new live-action movie, G.I.Joe, after the Snake Eyes photo has been revealed.

Scarlett's full name is Shana M. O'Hara. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Although she is as adept with standard weapons as any of her comrades, her weapon of choice is the crossbow which fires various bolts with specialized functions. Her rank is Master Sergeant, and she serves from time to time as team leader. Her primary specialty for the team is counter intelligence and is additionally skilled in martial arts and acrobatics. Of note, her secondary military specialty remains classified in all of her file cards.

However looking at her photo, we can confirm that she had changed her costume. From a mock turtleneck with a one-piece yellow swimsuit thing over it to a black spandex and body armor. Was it not or hot? You decide...

Christina Ricci is on the cover of May 2008 issue of Blackbook Magazine. What's new with her? Her silky, light-brown hair is cut into a longish Anna Wintour bob.

Christina who was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1998 for her role in The Opposite of Sex was featured in the cover of the magazine to promote the much-anticipated, $100-million-budget, action-adventure film, Speed Racer. Victoria's Secret Angels Promotes Victoria's Secret

To all the Victoria's Secret Angels' fans, two of these angels were spotted in Miami and New York City to promote Victoria's Secret clothing line and lingerie collection.

Last week, Sports Illustrated covergirl, Marisa Miller, was seen in Miami promoting Victoria's Secret new clothing and swim line. Wearing a sexy baby doll dress, she was quite happy sharing her thoughts to the press about keeping her figure, eating disorders and popular misconceptions about her.




"There's a misconception about swimsuit models. We actually do eat. You need your curves," she insists in an interview with the Miami Herald. "It's not so much a skinny thing but more about being toned. I grew up eating healthy and clean. I box and surf and try to mix it up. Going to the gym can be pretty boring," she claims, adding that "I may be too curvy for high fashion. I'm actually encouraged to eat".

"I feel really sad when I see the whole eating disorder thing - even if you don't want to be a role model you're out in the public eye. At the same time, I think there are girls who are naturally thin. There's no way you could be living an unhealthy lifestyle and pull off this job. If I didn't eat, I'd pass out!'' she insists.

Meanwhile, Miranda Kerr showed at the head store in New York City a few days ago. She publicized the new Victoria’s Secret bra, Dream Angel.




“The wonderful thing about this bra is that it’s really comfortable because it has this memory lining. It contours to your curves as to the perfect fit. It’s romantic, it’s comfortable. It’s a great bra, I love it.”

She also mentioned about some memorabilia that can be found in the store to celebrate ten years of Victoria’s Secret Angels:

“At the Herald Square store in New York, Victoria’s Secret is unveiling the last 10 years of angel history. You can go down to the store and customers can see some of the things that have happened over the last 10 years. Like, the first ever wings that were worn on the fashion show back in 1998. Or the angel wings that Heidi [Klum] wore that were 12 feet long–the hugest wings in history. A football signed by Adriana [Lima] that was signed at the Super Bowl.”
